What’s New for 2024?

In a move to simplify the model lineup, the XC40 now comes exclusively with AWD. Last year’s B4 powertrain featured a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 194 horsepower. That leaves the AWD B5 mild hybrid as the sole offering for the XC40. The XC40 also gains a couple of new exterior color options (Vapour Grey Metallic and Cloud Blue) and LED headlights for the top-range Ultimate trim level.

Meanwhile, drivers searching for an all-electric experience can turn to the XC40 Recharge. You’ll get a pair of electric motors driving all four wheels with a total power output of 402 horsepower. In addition to having impressive power, the XC40 Recharge also boasts up to 223 miles of range, letting you go the distance whether you’re running errands around town or getting away from it all for the weekend. When it comes time to charge, the XC40 Recharge lets you go from 10 percent to 80 percent in only 37 minutes if you use the 150kW DC fast charging option.
